Summary of transactions
You
can get the summary of transactions in an year. For this, specify the year as
shown in Fig 82.

If
your choice is OK, then
you will get the transactions of the specified year and if you are not
interested you can press Cancel. The report will be as shown in Fig 83.

Daily Receipts
Do
you wish to get the daily report of a particular day of the current month?
If your answer is yes, you could get it using the daily receipts option.
The window that is used to accept the date is as shown in Fig 84.

After selecting the date, if you press the OK
button, you will get the daily report of that specified day. The report
will be as shown in Fig 85.

Monthly receipts
If
you are interested in knowing the monthly progress of your business, the
VideoManager has the option for that also. Click on the Report menu and then go
for the Accounts menu item, there you will have
the option for viewing the monthly report of your business.
The window that is used to accept the month is as shown above Fig
84.
If
you press the OK button,
then you will get the monthly report of the
specified month. The report will be as shown in Fig 86.

Customer balance
This
menu gives the report of those persons who are having balance greater than or
equal to the amount specified in the window. This contains the provision for
getting the report of either debit or credit. For example, the
window used to accept the
amount in debit is as shown in Fig 87.

If
you press the OK button,
you will get the report of those customers who are having the debit balances
greater than or equal to the amount specified in the above window. The report
will be as shown below.

The
same can be obtained for the credit balance also.
Inactive customer
This
menu is useful when you want to cancel the membership of a customer or if you
want to find customers who are not frequent. For this specify the number of
rentals and date in the window as shown in Fig 89.

If
you press the OK button,
it gives the details of those customers who have made rentals less than the
specified number from the given date. The report will be as shown in Fig 90.

Rental history
It
gives the details of rentals of a particular customer provided the customer
code, first name or the phone number is given. The window which is used to
accept the customer code, first name or the phone number is as shown in Fig 91.

If
you press the OK button,
you will get the rental history of the customer whose customer code or first
name or the phone number specified in the above window. The report will be as
shown in Fig 92.

Lateness details
This
menu gives the report of the late returns of a particular customer provided the
customer code, first name or the phone number is given. The window which is
used to accept the customer code, first name or the phone number is as shown in
Fig 93.

If
you press the OK button,
you will get a window to specify the date. The window will be as shown in Fig

If
you press the OK button, you will get the
details of the late returns from the date specified to the current date. The
report will be as shown in Fig 95.

Lateness summary
This
menu will give details of customers who had made at least a
given number of late
returns of videos since the specified date . The window which is used to accept
the date and number of videos is
as shown in Fig 96.

Report
If
you press the OK button,
you will get the details of those customers who had made late returns since the
specified date. The report will be as shown in Fig 97.

List Customers
If
you wish to see the details of your customers, you have that option also. This
menu gives the details of all customers or those customers whose name is
between two specified alphabets. The window which is used to accept the
range of alphabets is as shown in Fig 98.

Specification
If you
press the OK button, you will get the details
of customers whose name is within the specified range of alphabets. If you want
to see all your customers you can select the show all without
specifying the range. Otherwise you will exit from this window. The report will
be as shown in Fig 99.

Most active
If
you wish to give award/prize to the customers who are frequent, you can use
this menu. It gives the details of all
frequent customers if we provide the date and number of rentals. The window
which is used to accept the date and number of rentals as shown in Fig 100.

If you press the OK button, you will
get the details regarding the frequent customers. Otherwise you can exit from
this window. The report will be as shown in Fig 101.

Rental List
This menu gives the
complete list of videos that are rendered to a customer if we provide
customer code, name or phone number. The window that is used to accept customer
code, name or phone number is as shown in Fig 102.

After
selecting a customer from the above window, press the OK button.
You will get the report of the rentals of a particular customer. If you press
the Cancel button, you will exit from this
window. The report will be as shown in Fig 103.

Sales Daily Receipts
If
you are interested in knowing information regarding the sales, daily report,
list stock, reorders etc, you can get these data in the form of reports.
Daily Report
You can get the daily transactions in the form of report if we
give the date. This will show you the information regarding the sold item such
as bill number, item code, item name etc. For this, specify the date as shown
in Fig 104.

If
you press the OK button, the report will appear as shown in Fig 105.

List stock
Do you wish to see the complete stock? If your answer is yes,
then you have the option for it i.e. List stock. This gives the complete
details of the stock like item code, item name, reorder level etc. The details
will be in the form of a report as shown in Fig 106.

Reorders
This menu gives the list of all items which has crossed the reorder
level. This is useful as it helps to order the items before you reach the
danger level. The details will be in the form of report as shown in Fig 107.

Discount sales
This
menu gives the details of those items that are sold in discount. The details of
the item include bill number, date, total price, discount price etc. For this,
you have to specify the date as shown in Fig 108.

If
you press the OK button, the details will be displayed as shown in Fig 109.

Cancelled sales
This
menu gives the details of the items whose order was cancelled after issue from
the date specified till now. The details include transaction number,
transaction date, item code, item name etc. This is similar to the sales return
in business. The window which is used to accept the date is as shown in Fig
110.

If you press OK button, you will get the details in the form of a report
as shown in Fig 111.

Annual Statistics
Annual
statistics will show you the number of video rentals transaction of each month
in the current year.
Monthly Statistics
Monthly
statistics will show you the number of video rentals transaction of each day in
the current month. This option is available in the tool bar with the icon .
So you will get accurate details about the season and off-season.
Current loans
It
will show the details of the videos, which are rented out and not returned.
Video History
How will you find the history of the video between a specific
date and current date or the customers who took the videos? There is an option
in it. Just click on the menu Video Rental History, then you will see the
window as shown in Fig 112.

Enter
the code of the video, of which you want to see the history and select the
date. Click on the Show button. It will show the history (Rentals happened)
between the selected date and the current date. It will list the details like
Video Number, customer ID, Name, Video name, issue date, period (No: of Days)
and Phone number. The report will be as shown in Fig 113.

Late Returns
This menu option will be the most wanted option for Video shop
owners. You can find out the rentals which have exceeded the due date. The
report has details of customer including Address, Phone number and E-mail
Address, Details of video, Issue date, number of rental days etc.
It will be as shown Fig 114.

Video
manager is offering you a best cost effective solution. You can inform anything
by sending E-mail to customer who has to pay rental due instead of informing
them through telephone. See Help on Customer.
List Videos
It is not necessary to know all about a video and Titles of
all videos in your shop. List
videos will help you to find a video based on the range of first letter of
Title, few letters of titles, format, language, category, rating or principle
actor. If you don’t know anything about it, don’t worry; you can list all
the titles. This report will list the necessary details according to the search
conditions. The window will be displayed as shown in Fig 115.

- If you know the first
few letters of the title select the first option, then type the letter.
Else you can specify the range of letter in the edit box by selecting the
second option. After the selection, enter the range. Rests of them are
common to both except select all option.
- Formats, Language,
category, rate etc will list its values. You can select the value by
clicking on them. Then enter first few letters of the main actor name.
- Select all option for
list all the videos.
- By Clicking OK button,
the report will display all about videos according to the conditions, and
list other likely videos as well.
- If you don’t want to
search, click cancel to view the previous report, which you list.
List by language
The List Video by Language option on Videos Menu helps
you to find the video by specifying the language and main actor.
Preorder
The Preorder menu options on Videos display all preorders.
Using this option you can check which of them are pending, how many videos for
a specific order and rate for each quantity.
Reservations
By clicking this menu you can see the reservations made on videos by your
customers. This option will help to check which videos are reserved. If the
reserved customer or his family members forget the reservation details the best
way to find is click on the reservation menu on video report. You will never
lose your time. Details including entry date, reservation date, ID of customer
who made the reservation, media code and login, (Login means the person who
entered the reservation details in VideoManager).
If
no details found, it will display “no matches found”
This option is available in the tool bar with the icon
List today’s due returns
By
clicking this menu, you can get the due returns on a specific date.

This
displays the window (as shown above) having a calendar which displays the
current date. By a single click, it will display the calendar. Select any date
you want. Click on the OK button to display the report, if not, click on the
Cancel button. If details are not
available it will display “no matches found”.
Slowest titles
This
menu option displays the slowest video titles since a specific date. You might
think, why I need it? Entire Video manager filled with option for the
betterment of your business. You can find which video titles are very low in
demand and set them as low rate video titles. Low in demand may be the lack of
popularity or something else. But whatever it is, it must be profitable. By
setting it as low rate video title, your customers can rental this in low
price. So every video title in your business will give you profits.
By clicking this menu, it will display a window shown as
shown in Fig 117..

To
display the videos with less than a specific number of rentals, you can enter
the number in the first edit box. VideoManager will consider the given number
as the slowest title when the number is greater than the sum of rentals of each
video title with specified format within the specified date.
Format
box will list the format. You can select any format by clicking on it.
- By clicking on the
date box you can display the calendar and can select any previous date.
- Click OK to display
the report, if not, click cancel.
- If you click OK
button, it will display the Media code, media name, Actors, format,
category and Rate type.
If
no titles are found in the specified range, it will display “no matches found”.
Starring
This menu will help you to search video titles based on actor or director with
video format.

- Enter first few letter
of actor name or director name. Then select the video format, which you
need.
- Click OK button to
display the report. If not, click Cancel button to close the window.
If
the details are not available, it will display the message “no matches found”.
Top titles
By clicking this menu, you will the get the top most titles
in demand. Video Manager offers this report to help you to increase your
income.
Transaction
This gives report on video rentals transaction which gone in free or for
special rate.
Video Sales
This lists the video sales within the specified date.
Cancelled Video Sales
This lists the cancelled sales within the specified date.
List all misc transactions
You
can get the summary of miscellaneous transactions in the form of report if you
specify the date. This option gives you the details of miscellaneous
transaction from the date specified till now.
For this, specify the date as shown in Fig 119.

When you click the OK
button, the report will be as shown in Fig 120.

List miscellaneous rental items
You can get the summary of miscellaneous rental items. This
contains the details of misc transaction that are issued but not returned. When
you click the ‘List misc rental items’ menu item, the report will appear as
shown in Fig 121.

Misc rental History
You can get the history of all miscellaneous transactions. This contains the
details of all miscellaneous items that are issued and returned. When you click
the history menu item, the report
will appear as shown in Fig122 .You can get the

Daily summary
Do
you wish to see your day to day summary of your transactions? If yes click on
the report menu-> daily summary. This contains the details of the
transaction like number of videos issued, received, total number of
receipts, total number of customers etc.
The
daily summary will be as shown in Fig 123.

After getting these information, click on the close button to escape from this
window.
